Guess what?? "We have used this same cabin rental company every time we've stayed in Gatlinburg. We have a 16 month old and it was all over his clothes.
When we checked out, the plumbing was still backed up. However, it is on par with other pet friendly cabins that we have rented. We proceeded to find a vacuum still outside, the hot tub not cleaned, no appealing/decorative bedspreads, dead bugs on the carpet everywhere, a busted TV, and dishes in the drawer uncleaned.
We also hike up to Laura Fall it was a great hike. Having paid a premium for a sub-standard lodging, that with reasonable routine maintenance, would have made it a noteworthy stay. Cabin was clean and cozy .
We would all go back and stay with Cabins of the Smokey's but overall it was great stay. However, our stay in your cabin, "In The Woods", at a passing first glance we thought all was well but after looking around we notice many lapses in maintenance. Probably the worst is the rot damage of the chimney on the exterior of the cabin. See business transparency We arrived during the worst time of the covid 19....we tried to cancel our reservation which they would not allow us to do mind you not the US is all under states of emergency. They did call us and said they went through and fixed our complaints. We had wine and snacks waiting for us! I told her they could come in the cabin while I was gone to dinner.
I had to call guest services several times regarding some of the issues with the cabin and I never received any satisfactory resolution to any of them. We were informed this cabin had been sold and new owner had no idea anyone was renting cabin. The house was not clean. A few of the dirtier places; thick layer of dust/grime on the top of the door frames and around the baseboards, the thick cobwebs on the ceiling/overhang on the front porch and the filthy disgusting 2nd story windows. The cabin was beautiful but from the moment we arrived we started having problems. I wasted TWO HOURS and they never showed. Was told by new owner that installation of cable was scheduled for 22nd....one week after we were gone! The wedding I was attending is canceling and this company does not want to refund the $130 deposit. Maintenance arrived late afternoon. I never got a call from a manager to fix this problem. Upon arrival to Gatlinburg, we had to call to get address to cabin. Then on last day we waited 2 hours for them to come review cabin and compensate and they wanted to give us 10% off a future stay i mean wow right!!!!!! Filter by: Filter by: Theresa 1 review.
Not just for ski season, cabins are charming all year round.
We rented this cabin that stated there was 7 tv's and a media room.
I would understand if it were for any other reason that was personal to me. The surround-sound in the media room did not work and there was a large leak in the ceiling on the first floor from the second floor bathroom. I made a review on the one cabin we did have some problems. The old racist couple staying in E 206 called the security ever night making a false complaint. Great accommodations, views,rates, and food! Found that very strange, they would not give to me prior to arrival??? The directions and instructions we received at check-in were clear and thorough. Very dissapointed with your company. Cabin was very run down, smelled and do NOT reflex the pictures at all. Thinking that maybe it was frozen up. Great cabins, clean, reasonable prices! Trash everywhere upon arrival, late checking us in. Mountain Memories is perfect for your honeymoon, anniversary, or romantic getaway in the Smoky Mountains.
