I don't mind a little paranormal stuff, I really enjoyed it.This story is more emotional than the first in the Stokehurst series. I never really warmed to Nikki and thought he was too cruel to change. Difficult to know which is real and which is a dream.
I can't help it, I just love those cold bad guys. Perhaps that sounds overly critical, and perhaps the story really wouldn't work without the constant self-recriminations, but I still found him annoying enough to want to slap him. As I mentioned in my review of "Midnight Angel", Lisa Kleypas gave us an idea that the hero in this story is Nikolai, and the heroine is Emma, Stokehurst's daughter through Tasia's vision.

I was hoping it would be a good read and I wasn't disappointed, I would recommend any one to take the opportunity to read the book, you won't be disappointed. I was filled with mixed feelings for this book. I have always held the notion that two characters that have a prior history between them always make a better romance and this story too had a deeper impact on me upon re-reading the story with the knowledge of prior acquaintances between Emma and Nikolas in mind.I waited years to read "Prince of Dreams" and when I did, I barely last 30 minutes with it.

Emma was a strong leading woman and the two had lots to overcome before things were quite the HEA and somehow this one didn't completely work for me. And Prince of Dreams IS great.
