Games Please see our Throughout The Fall, viewers watched as Spector and Katie’s relationship became increasingly warped.She was initially the Spectors’ babysitter but over time grew close to the social worker and was intrigued by him.Their relationship seemed to teeter on the brink of romantic and sexual after Katie tried to find out more about Spector.She also revealed her fascination with Dante’s Inferno as she tried to win over Spector with the serial killer realising he could manipulate the teen.Spector encouraged Katie to assault one of her friends, something which she complied with.She also tried to help destroy evidence linking Spector to the murders but was stopped before she could do so.Katie ended up in a juvenile detention centre after the assault while Spector was custody.By this point, the schoolgirl had been playing truant and had become distanced from her family due to her escalating behaviour.While in the juvenile detention centre, Stella paid the youngster a visit.Katie had been self-harming while she was incarcerated but it seems Stella managed to have a meaningful conversation with the teen.Stella revealed she too had also self-harmed in the past due to the pain over the death of her father.Her words seemed to impact Katie as Stella went on to warn her about Spector, saying she had been a pawn in his game, and he’d left her high and dry ultimately.During the chat, Stella found out Spector had taken his own life in a bid to evade justice.While Stella couldn’t reveal to Katie what had happened to Spector, she presumably would have found out afterwards.Given the conversation with Stella, it appeared it may have been a turning point for Katie and after serving her time in the centre there was a sense the teen would choose a new path.Irish-Italian actress Franciosi, who has gone on to star in Game of Thrones and The Nightingale, previously opened up about landing the role of Katie.She told IFTN back in 2014: “Well, I sent in a tape of me singing first and then I was asked up to do the first audition in person with the casting director.“After that I got a call-back where I auditioned with producer Julian Stevens and the director Jakob Verbruggen in the room.“That was quite a long audition but I found out the next day that I got the part so it was all quite quick!”She went on to say how the role of Katie became more complex than viewers may have initially thought, explaining: “With Katie, there is definitely a troubled side to her.“She initially seemed in season one a slightly rebellious and precocious teenager who is kind of coming into being aware of her sexuality but actually in season two you start to realise that it’s a bit more than that, there’s something else going on.“So, I would maybe describe myself as quite a cerebral actor anyway so I quite like trying to portray stuff through the thought process of actually seeing the character think.
