Buffalo News cartoonist Adam Zyglis won the Pulitzer, Monday, April 20, 2015.
As a WNY native, I grew up in Alden and attended Canisius College. His work has also appeared magazines such as The Week, Time, and MAD Magazine. His cartoons are internationally syndicated and have appeared in many publications around the world, including The Washington Post, USA Today, The New York Times and Los Angeles Times.

Adam Zyglis is the Pulitzer-Prize winning editorial cartoonist for The Buffalo News. Adam’s first cartooning job was for The Griffin, the weekly student newspaper at the college. His cartoons are internationally syndicated and have appeared in many publications around the world, including The Washington Post, USA Today and The New York Times. His work has also appeared magazines such as The Week, Time, and MAD Magazine. This past year, in addition to the Pulitzer, he won the Grambs Aronson Cartooning with a Conscience Award for social justice journalism, and was awarded the 2015 Media Award by the Erie County Bar Association. In 2013 he won the Clifford K. and James T. Berryman Award, given by the National Press Foundation. He has been honored with three National Headliner Awards in the past years (2015, 2011 and 2007). In 2004, he graduated from the Canisius College Honors program summa cum laude, majoring in computer science and minoring in mathematics and fine art.
