Originally premiering at Fantastic Fest in 2019, Random Acts of Violence is based on the horror graphic novel of the same name from Jimmy Palmiotti and Justin Gray, which features art by Giancarlo Caracuzzo and Paul Mounts. They abduct her. Both Johnny and Frank are killed.
Still, the performances by the cast are able to make up for some of the script's weaknesses. It's part teenage fantasy fulfillment for middle-aged gun nuts, part DTV low-budget actioner, part morality play with the subtlety of an Aesop fable.
