Terms and Conditions May Apply is a documentary that addresses how corporations and governments use information provided by users when they browse a website, download an app, or shop online. I think that we should be entitled to privacy and are entitled to have our rights without having fear for what we post on the internet. How we don't read that wodge of text in capitals comprising "Terms and conditions" before we click "Accept" - nobody could, it would take a month per year for everything we sign. That's just how it is. Impact of this? I was entertained, stunned but on the other side this made me realize that I better be careful on what I post, mail and tweet.

This is a well-crafted documentary that raises awareness of what is really going on when you click the "I Agree" options of the 'Terms and Conditions' of various websites. is doing in this area if at all it is. are in effect. Hoback told AFP: "I just wanted him to say, 'Look, I don't want you to record me,' and I wanted to say, 'Look, I don't want you to record us.'" Hoback makes a great case for internet activism and an internet that remains open and constructed by the people rather than by corporations and big government, and things even take a surprisingly personal turn at the end when Hoback attempts to get a word in with Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of the website Facebook. This is a brilliantly researched excellent feature ! A documentary that exposes what corporations and governments learn about people through Internet and cell phone usage, and what can be done about it ... if anything.
For his revelatory film, Hoback may indeed become a true folk hero, without the confusing stigma of an Assange or Snowden.
