The finalists face the judges one last time before Diddy selects the newest members of his backup band in the Season 1 finale.Some of the hopefuls decide to skip rehearsing and go shopping instead, so the judges teach them an embarrassing lesson.

Len Coley and his band Delegation were making international disco hits in the mid-1970s when he met a Sydney woman called Philippa who was visiting the United Kingdom.
In the 90-minute premiere, the finalists are chosen to move into the house and compete to be a part of Diddy's band. Meanwhile, Diddy works on his album with Dawn Richard from Danity Kane.In the series opener, Diddy begins his search for talented singers and musicians to back him up on an upcoming tour.
First up, the singers are paired into groups and asked to perform in front of the judges. As the competition nears an end, Diddy returns to hear the contestants perform, and the results tears two friends apart. It spawned musical acts O-Town, Da Band, Danity Kane, Day26, and Donnie Klang.
